Vitamins C, B6 and B12 in LA BOMBA: what the % RI means
What % RI on a label means, how much vitamin C, B6 and B12 is in LA BOMBA, and why the EU claim still applies at ¼ scoop.

In this article
Three lines on the LA BOMBA label aren't amino acids: vitamin C, vitamin B6 and vitamin B12. Each one has a percentage next to it. This is what those numbers mean, and why they still count at ¼ scoop.
What "% RI" means
RI stands for reference intake. The EU sets one for each vitamin and mineral: the amount an average adult is expected to need per day. A label shows how much of that amount one serving gives you.
So "75% RI" for vitamin C means one full scoop gives you three quarters of the daily reference amount.
The three vitamins in LA BOMBA
| Vitamin | EU reference intake | Full scoop (18 g) | ¼ scoop (4.5 g) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Vitamin C | 80 mg | 60 mg (75% RI) | 15 mg (19% RI) |
| Vitamin B6 | 1.4 mg | 1.6 mg (114% RI) | 0.4 mg (29% RI) |
| Vitamin B12 | 2.5 mcg | 2 mcg (80% RI) | 0.5 mcg (20% RI) |
What we're allowed to say about them
Unlike most pre-workout ingredients, these three vitamins do have authorised EU health claims. The one that matters here:
Vitamin C, vitamin B6 and vitamin B12 contribute to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue.
That sentence is worded exactly as the EU approved it. We can't make it stronger, and we can't add our own spin. You can look it up in the EU Register of nutrition and health claims.
Why ¼ scoop still counts
A product may only carry a vitamin claim if one serving gives you a "significant amount" of that vitamin. For vitamins in a supplement, that means at least 15% of the reference intake per serving.
In Belgium the recommended serving is ¼ scoop. At ¼ scoop LA BOMBA still gives you 19% RI vitamin C, 29% RI vitamin B6 and 20% RI vitamin B12. All three stay above the 15% line, so the claim applies at the Belgian serving too.
Where else you'd find them
- Vitamin C: citrus fruit, kiwi, peppers, broccoli
- Vitamin B6: poultry, fish, potatoes, bananas, chickpeas
- Vitamin B12: meat, fish, eggs, dairy. Plant foods contain almost none, which is why many vegans supplement it.
A supplement doesn't replace any of these. A varied, balanced diet comes first.
Before you use LA BOMBA
Contains caffeine (300 mg per full scoop, 75 mg per ¼ scoop). Not recommended for children, adolescents, or pregnant or breastfeeding women. Do not exceed the recommended daily intake. FAQ
Why is vitamin B6 above 100%?
One full scoop gives 1.6 mg, slightly more than the 1.4 mg reference intake. That's well within safe limits for adults. At ¼ scoop it's 0.4 mg (29% RI).
Does the claim apply at ¼ scoop?
Yes. All three vitamins stay above 15% RI at ¼ scoop.
Are the vitamins in both flavours?
Yes. Cherry and Blueberry have the same formula. Only the flavour differs.
