Caffeine in LA BOMBA: how much is in it and what the warning means
LA BOMBA has 300 mg of caffeine per full scoop and 75 mg per ¼ scoop. How to count it with other caffeine, and who shouldn't take it.

In this article
A full scoop of LA BOMBA contains 300 mg of caffeine. A ¼ scoop, the recommended serving in Belgium, contains 75 mg. Add that to any other caffeine you have that day, and read the warning before your first scoop.
How much caffeine is in LA BOMBA
| Serving | Powder | Caffeine |
|---|---|---|
| Full scoop | 18 g | 300 mg |
| ¼ scoop | 4.5 g | 75 mg |
All of it comes from caffeine anhydrous, which is listed on the label with its own dose. No other ingredient in LA BOMBA contains caffeine.
In Belgium, the recommended serving is ¼ scoop (4.5 g), so 75 mg of caffeine per serving.
What caffeine anhydrous is
Caffeine occurs naturally in coffee beans, tea leaves, cocoa beans, guarana and kola nuts. "Anhydrous" means without water: caffeine anhydrous is caffeine in dry powder form.
It's the same caffeine molecule as in a cup of coffee. Using it as a powder means the amount per scoop can be stated precisely, which is why we can print an exact number on the label.
How it compares to coffee
As a rough comparison, a full scoop has about the caffeine of three cups of filter coffee, and a ¼ scoop about one cup. Coffee varies a lot with the beans, the brewing method and the size of the cup, so treat this as an approximate amount, not an exact match.
Count your other caffeine
The number on our label is only part of your day. Caffeine also comes from:
- coffee and espresso
- black and green tea
- cola and other soft drinks with caffeine
- energy drinks
- chocolate, in smaller amounts
- other supplements, such as another pre-workout or caffeine tablets
The warning tells you not to exceed the recommended daily intake of LA BOMBA itself. Your total caffeine for the day also includes everything on this list, so keep track of it. If you've already had a few coffees, a ¼ scoop (75 mg) adds a lot less than a full scoop (300 mg).
Training late in the day
The label says to take LA BOMBA 15–30 minutes before training. If you train in the evening, that means caffeine in the evening too. Many people avoid caffeine late in the day, so think about when you plan to go to bed before you mix a scoop.
If you train late, you can use a ¼ scoop (75 mg instead of 300 mg) or skip it on those days. That's simply a question of how much caffeine you want at that time of day.
What the warning means, line by line
- "Contains caffeine (300 mg per full scoop, 75 mg per ¼ scoop)." The exact amount per serving, so you can count it.
- "Not recommended for children, adolescents, or pregnant or breastfeeding women." LA BOMBA is not for these groups.
- "Do not exceed the recommended daily intake." Stick to the serving on the label. More powder means more caffeine and more of every other active.
- "Consult your doctor if you take medication." Your doctor can check whether LA BOMBA fits with what you take. Ask before you start, not after.
- "Food supplements are not a substitute for a varied, balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle." A standard statement that applies to every food supplement, including ours.
- "Keep out of reach of young children." Store the jar where kids can't get to it.
Who shouldn't take LA BOMBA
- Children and adolescents
- Pregnant or breastfeeding women
- Anyone taking medication, unless their doctor has said it's fine
- Anyone who has been advised to avoid caffeine
If you're new to LA BOMBA or sensitive, the label advises starting with ¼ scoop. The full instructions: 1 full scoop (18 g) in 300–400 ml cold water, 15–30 minutes before training, with ¼ scoop as the recommended serving in Belgium.
FAQ
How much caffeine is in one scoop of LA BOMBA?
300 mg per full scoop (18 g) and 75 mg per ¼ scoop (4.5 g). In Belgium, ¼ scoop is the recommended serving.
Is that a lot of caffeine?
A full scoop is roughly the caffeine of three cups of filter coffee. Whether that's a lot for you depends on what else you have that day, which is why we suggest adding it all up.
Can I take LA BOMBA in the evening?
That's up to you. Many people avoid caffeine late in the day. If you train late, a ¼ scoop has 75 mg instead of 300 mg, or you can skip it that day.
Does any other ingredient in LA BOMBA contain caffeine?
No. Caffeine anhydrous is the only source. L-theanine is an amino acid found in tea leaves, but it contains no caffeine itself.
Can I take LA BOMBA if I'm pregnant or breastfeeding?
No. LA BOMBA is not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding women, or for children and adolescents.
